Rats Vs. Brats is a comedy/speculative fiction podcast in which I narrate weird little short stories involving characters from my various otherwise separate comic projects interacting.
We’ve got Zamo, a talking iguana hellbent on taking over the world (or at least the neighborhood) in between naps, plus Zamo’s pet human Georgie and Georgie’s friends. (Comic project: Zamo the Destroyer).
We’ve got Noah, a stay-at-home-dad by day and cover band rock singer by night, plus his prissy school teacher wife Ruth, their bratty cartoon and candy obsessed daughter Ursula (who’s the only one who can hear Zamo or see the various rat and mouse people), Ursula’s baby sister Valerie, Noah’s in-laws, Noah’s bandmates, Noah’s grown sons from prior marriages, his crazy mother who killed a polar bear with a knife and fears no gator… (Comic: Noah’s Archipelago).
And we’ve got the rat people (plus a few mouse people, and Myles who is half and half): Ricky Rateriff, a punk rock dude who works at a local recording studio, his wannabe beauty queen girlfriend Baby Rattsen, Baby’s half-mouse cousin Myles the conspiracy-minded accountant, Ricky’s mom Margaret and her “bingo friend” Ambrose, Ricky’s scuzzy music biz bosses and coworkers and more (Comic: Ricky B. the Rock N Roll Rat).
Speaking of scuzzy music biz folks, we may even have the odd appearance by the second-biggest rock star of the 1980s, Nick White, and the assorted degenerates he associates with from my old YouTube show The Nick White Show.
